A Memorable Wedding Requires a Memorable Reception Venue

You've taken the time to carefully choose your mate. You're making a commitment til death do you part, and you want your wedding day to be special. Well don't forget that a wedding celebration really has two parts - the wedding and the reception. Give your reception as much consideration and planning as you give your wedding so you can remember your special day from beginning to end.

Finding your special place shouldn't be that difficult. Most upper-end hotels have ballrooms that can be rented, there are elegant banquet halls around that do nothing but cater to celebrating guests, and every now and then you can come across an extra special place like a Victorian mansion or old building that's been converted exactly for this purpose. In almost all cases, celebration halls of this caliber will offer services from minimal to all inclusive. Most likely, they will offer you a price list for their services, including catering, decorating, serving, and cleanup. Some will even provide entertainment packages. It's up to you as to what you can afford, but the more you can delegate to hand off to the staff, the more you can focus on the things you need to be focused on.

By all means, make sure to book your reception hall as soon as you have picked the wedding date. Popular halls book well in advance, in some cases up to 9 months, so putting it off may mean it's already rented out to someone else when you want it. The other planning details will come along as the wedding comes together, so don't worry about that just yet. Put the deposit down on the hall, and then work with the hall staff as you finalize things like the menu, the decorations, and the entertainment.

Professionals that rent out banquet and meeting halls are well-seasoned at what they do, so let them do their thing. You're paying them for a service, so be certain they provide it. There are plenty of other things for you to be concerned over. The wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, colors, flowers, theme, invitations, registering, etc. Rent a venue with a full-service staff and let them worry about the second half of your wedding day.
